Until earlier this year, Kristi was a resident artist at Giddens Gallery in Grapevine, TX. As proprietor of studio KAZ, she now curates her own gallery.
Studio KAZ INTRODUCTION
Whether from Texas or farther afield, come to Dallas to Teach, Learn and Create. studio KAZ is conveniently placed just 4 miles north of DFW Airport. Located in quaint Old Town Coppell, we are surrounded by restaurants, a covered farmers’ market, shops and historic properties. Nearby are numerous hotels for our out-of-town guests. The property is pleasantly treed with plenty of parking. Amongst the trees, three old-style Texas buildings replicate the towns’ original Schoolhouse, General Store and Blacksmith.
Kristi A. Zatyko (KAZ), the owner, lives and works in Coppell, Texas. She is a self-taught artist with a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University. In the last decade, Kristi has attended many organized mixed media retreats, meeting artists and teachers from all over the world.
In 2017, Kristi bought a building shell and designed and oversaw the interior construction of a studio/gallery, with the intent of inviting local and national artists to teach workshops. The 2,400 sf space is full of natural light and can accommodate up to 40 students. Some amenities such as easels, tables and chairs are available for use. A catering/lunch and comfortable conversation areas make it perfect for receptions and meetings.
